A Cheer for the Rain!

We are delighted: Our water reservoirs are full once again! Two years we waited for this. Since we had too little rain on La Gomera during the last two winters the reservoirs in the upper part of our barranco ran empty. That meant no stocks of water for the agriculture and therefore less cultivation of fruit and vegetables. Whenever there is a water shortage our guests and the organisation of the hotel have priority. But now we have enough water for us to get our plans out of the drawer and happily plant to our heart’s desire – especially lemon and mango trees and all sorts of vegetables for our buffet.
